Modern Monday Morning Meet Old Fashion Oatmeal

Breakfast in our home involves two grown-ups getting ready for work and a toddler ready for school. So, it's always nice to have a breakfast plan ready to go, so everyone can smoothly get out the door. 

 

Old Fashioned Oatmeal 
  • In a medium pot: 1 cup of old fashioned oats, 1 3/4 cups of milk (or 1 cup of milk and 3/4 cup of water), and a pinch of salt. Bring it to a boil. Then cook on medium heat for 4-5 minutes.

  • Mix in 2 tbsp of maple syrup and a pinch of cinnamon while hot.

  • Serve with a sprinkle with brown sugar. Topped with banana, pear & almond.

  • Then scoot everyone out the door with full happy bellies :)
